Summary
Lukas frowned at the corpse. He wasn't used to seeing the bodies of
     people he didn't kill.

In which Lukas learns that his little brother isn't as innocent as he
     thought.
Notes
I was originally thinking about basing a story off the song A Little
Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold, but that's a little too dark
even for me; so instead I wrote this little horror story.
     It's...not actually scary.
See the end of the work for more notes
As soon as Emil walked into his room crying, Lukas already knew what was
wrong. Still, he couldn't let Emil know that he knew, so he put on a confused
expression and beckoned the young teen over.
Emil more or less collapsed into his lap, sobbing and burying his face in
Lukas’s chest.
“What's wrong, little brother?” Lukas asked, holding him close.
“Y-You know Lily, right?” Emil sniffled.
“Of course, sweetie. She's your best friend, isn't she?”
Emil nodded. “She was. B-But today me and a couple of the other guys got
called into the counselor's office because they knew we were her friends, a-and
they told us that...t-that she's dead.”
“That's awful.” Lukas responded, hugging him tighter. “Did they say what
happened?”
“They say it was suicide, but I dunno…” Emil answered.
  “What do you mean?”
“It's just…don't you think it's a little weird?” Emil questioned. “She always
seemed so happy, why would she choose to die now? Why so suddenly?”
“Emil, a lot of people are good at putting on a brave face.” Lukas told him.
“I know, I know. But something just isn't adding up.” Emil shook his head,
tugging at his hair lightly. He seemed less sad and more...distressed. His
confusion and frustration towards the whole situation was evident on his face.
“I can't be the only who's noticed that a lotof my friends have been dying
lately.”
There it was. The realization Lukas had hoped Emil would never come to. He
knew he'd been pushing it lately, killing Lily so soon after Leon. Not to
mention he'd killed Leon only two weeks after Eduard, whom he'd killed only a
month after Raivis.
“And they're allsuicide. It doesn't make sense. When it was only Peter I
could understand, but now five of my friends have killed themselves. And the
last three in the same month.” Emil started shaking. “Did we do something
wrong? Is someone targeting us? Am I going to die?!”
“Hush, little brother.” Lukas comforted. “No one is going to kill you.
Sometimes life is hard, and some people just can't handle it.”
  “But—”
“No buts. I don't want you going crazy over something that isn't real. I'm
sorry, Emil, but the truth is your friends just killed themselves. No one is
after you, and I can guarantee that no one will ever hurt you.” Lukas said
sternly.
Emil went silent for a bit, then started crying again. He couldn't think of
anything to say. He just sobbed.
Lukas felt bad for causing his poor little brother so much pain, but he
couldn't help it. Emil was such a sweet, charming boy, and Lukas wasn't an
idiot. He could tell whenever one of Emil’s little friends started falling for
him, and he couldn't stand it.
It wasn't fair. Lukas had loved Emil for much longer than any of them, but he
knew Emil wouldn't respond well to his brother being in love with him. Lukas
couldn't be with Emil, but he could at least make sure no one else was either.
Although, seeing Emil so hurt and broken make Lukas’s heart feel like it would
shatter. Screw it. He decided. I'll make him stop crying, whatever it takes.
Even if he ends up hating me by the end of the night.
That was just how much he loved him.
“Hey, little brother.” Lukas shook Emil's shoulder gently.
  “What?”
“If you come with me, I can cheer you up.”
“Lukas, nothing can cheer me up right now.” Emil barely managed to choke out.
  “I promise, this will.”
Lukas managed to pull his brother to his feet and led him to his bedroom.
Once there, he closed and locked his door and lightly pushed Emil towards his
bed.
  “Lukas, what are you doing?”
“I love you so much, Emil. I can't stand to see you hurting like this.
Please, let me help you.” Lukas pleaded.
“I-I don't understand what you're doing.” Emil backed away slowly.
“You will.” Lukas told him before kissing him.
Lukas sighed at the feeling of his brother’s lips against his. It felt so
perfect, so right. He'd wanted this for so long, he almost didn't know what to
do now that he had it.
  “Lukas…”
“Don't fight me, Emil. Just...let me do this. Let me help you.” Lukas kissed
him again.
  Emil hesitated before nodding. “Okay…”
Everything went by in a blur after that. One moment they were standing, the
next they were laying down in bed. Neither brother was sure exactly when they'd
undressed, but somehow Emil found himself in Lukas’s lap while the blond
fingered him less-than-gently.
“L-Lukas! W-Wait...stop. Stop it!” Emil cried out.
Lukas froze. “What's wrong, little brother? Am I being too rough?”
Emil shook his head. “No...it feels good. But this isn't right. My boyfriend
justdied last week.”
  “I know, but—”
“You didn't let me finish. Lukas, you're my brother. Brothers aren't supposed
to do these things.”
Lukas sighed. They'd gotten so far, why did Emil have to grow a conscience
now?
“It's not fair.” Lukas groaned. “Why do you care so much about him? He
abandoned you. He left you to suffer through life alone. Just like all your
other so-called friends.”
  “That's not true…”
“Yes, Emil. It is true. None of them cared about you. All of them left you.
They were selfish. They didn't consider for one moment how their actions would
affect you. They only cared about ending their own pain.”
“Stop talking.” Emil snapped. But he didn't sound angry. He sounded sad.
Hurt. Almost pleading. Like he knew he was about to hear a truth he wasn't
prepared for.
“All they did was hurt you and leave you. Why can't you see that no one but
me has ever loved you?”
“People have loved me…” Emil denied.
“Really? Who? The parents who threw you out of the house? The boyfriend that
abandoned you? The friends that used you and left you alone to pick up the
pieces of the lives they chose to destroy? Name one person on this entire
planet who has ever given a single damn about you, Emil!”
Lukas felt the guilt hit him as soon as Emil started crying again. He
shouldn't have lost his temper like that, but his patience was wearing thin.
  “I…”
“I let you live with me. I took care of you. I was there every single time
anything bad ever happened to you in order to make you feel better. I love you,
Emil. Look me in the eyes and tell me, who else does?”
  “Only you…” Emil whispered.
Lukas wasn't expecting him to agree so easily. “Come again?”
“It's only you. You're the only one.” Emil sniffled and wiped his eyes.
“You're right, okay? You’re right. Everyone else always throws me away, but
you've kept me...you're the only person who's ever kept me.”
Emil buried his face in his brother's neck. “Damn. Damn it all, it hurts! Oh
fuck it really, really hurts.” The boy sobbed.
The more he thought about it, the more he realized Lukas was right. No one
loved him, and the realization hurt him worse than anything he could have
imagined. It felt like his own loneliness was drilling a hole straight through
his heart, and it just kept getting bigger every second.
“It doesn't have to hurt…” Lukas reminded him. “If you'll let me, I can make
it stop.”
  “Please...please help me.” Emil whimpered.
  “Even though I'm your brother?”
“Especially because you're my brother. There's no one else I can trust. I
need you.”
“What do you need me to do?”
  “Just...fuck me. I don't care anymore. I don't want to feel anything else. I
don't want to think about anything else. I only want you. Please.”
  “Okay, little brother. Okay.”
Lukas couldn't pinpoint a single time in his life he was this happy. He'd
finally done it. He had his precious little brother right where he wanted him.
He should've started killing people a lot sooner
===============================================================================

Lukas’s life had been perfect from that point on. Emil had gotten adorably
clingy, always wanting to follow him everywhere. He'd also become extremely
loyal, going out of his way at all times to do whatever Lukas wanted. He really
was too precious.
But he was also insane. That was one thing Lukas hadn't considered. The blond
had always valued the idea of nurture over nature—that is, he believed your
life experience had a greater impact on your mind and behavior than your
genetics did. He never would've thought that his sweet, innocent, little
brother could possibly have inherited the same sick, twisted mind he had...

“A-Ah. Damn, Emil. I never thought you'd be this—ah—good at this.”
“Now that's just insulting~” Emil giggled, going down even harder to prove
his point. He knew Lukas would be angry with him if he found out about this.
That's why he could never know.
Sure Emil felt a bit dirty for whoring himself out like this, but it was
necessary. He could never hope to kill someone this much bigger than him if he
didn't have the element of surprise.
“Fuck...I thought you were pissed at me for hitting on your brother. I'm glad
we were able to work things out, I like being with you.”
“Who do you think you're fooling?” Emil mocked. He found it funny that they
were speaking so casually as if Emil weren'triding the older man like there was
no tomorrow. “You're just fucking me because I look like him.”
“So what if I am?” the older male grunted. “Clearly you like being used
anyways. Fucking slut.”
Emil growled. He began moving faster, practically impaling himself on the
larger man. This caused him to moan loudly and shut his eyes. That was just the
opening Emil had been waiting for.
He reached over and grabbed the knife he'd hidden at the side of the bed.
“You're right, I do love being used.” Emil smirked, jamming the blade right
through the man's chest. “Just not by you~”
The man beneath him screamed and sputtered, and mix of agony and terror on
his face. “What...the fuck…”
“Big brother loves me, and me only. But you keep trying to steal him away. I
won't let you.” Emil said darkly. “He's not allowed to love anyone but me.”
Emil stared down before laughing hysterically. “Sheesh, now I'm talking to a
corpse. I must be going crazy.”
He lifted himself up and off the now-dead body, cleaning himself off and
getting dressed. “Now, to take care of the other one.”
Emil hummed softly as he walked downstairs. Killing his brother's friends had
been easier than he'd thought. The idiots were straight out of a horror movie!
As soon as Lukas left them alone they all wandered off in different directions.
The one that went into the backyard was the easiest. He'd just stood there,
talking on the phone with his back to Emil. All the boy had to do was come up
behind him and hit him a few times with a shovel.
The one that went to the basement...well he was just asking for it. Emil
shoved him down the stairs and locked the door. Easy.
The two that he caught making out he let live. They were clearly too into
each other to pose a threat. He'd just told them “Lukas wanted me to ask you to
leave.” And that was that.
The challenging one was the last one. He was easily twice Emil’s size, and
left no openings to attack. He sat on the couch watching TV, in a position
where Emil knew he couldn't sneak up on him. He knew his best bet was to
distract him so killing him would be easier.
So he slept with him. It was the grossest thing he'd ever done in his life,
but it was worth it. Emil hated that bastard more than he'd ever hated anyone
in his life. Stabbing him had felt damn good.
And now, Emil was returning to the basement. He may have knocked the guy
out—what was his name? Emil wasn't sure. He knew he was British, though—but he
never checked to confirm he was dead. Walking with a rather giddy bounce in his
step, Emil went to finish him off.

Lukas was confused by how quiet his house was when he got home. He'd had a
small group friends over, but he went to the store when he realized they were
out of drinks. Where the hell did they all go?
He sighed, putting the drinks in the fridge and deciding to go up to his
room. He hoped he'd find Emil there so he could ask about where his friends
when.
Lukas was in no way prepared to find a dead body when he walked in. “Holy
shit, Mathias?! What the fuck happened?”
He rushed over to where his best friend was laying naked and bloody, a knife
going through his chest. Lukas frowned at the corpse. He wasn't used to seeing
the bodies of people he didn't kill. He reached out and touched it—the body was
still warm. He couldn't have died too long ago.
Who would do this? Where are the others? He wondered. Had someone found about
the kids he'd killed a few years ago? Were they getting revenge on him now? Oh
God, what if they hurt Emil?
Lukas sprinted downstairs, looking around frantically for his brother. He
caught something out of the corner of his eye as he walked by the sliding door
to the backyard. Was that…?
He ran out, over to the odd lump in the flower garden. He nearly threw up at
the sight. His friend’s head was so bashed in it took him a minute to even
figure out who it was. “Oh no. Not Vlad too…” Lukas was starting to feel ill.
He went back inside where he noticed something he'd walked right by earlier.
On the notepad he kept by his front door, someone had written a little note.
“Sorry if we were bothering you. Next time if we're getting on your nerves,
you can just tell us. We'll leave.
                                                             -Tino and Berwald”
It read.
What?Lukas never had a problem with them. Why did they think they had to
leave? Nothing was making any sense.
And he still couldn't find Arthur or Emil.
As if on cue, right when the thought crossed his mind he heard a scream from
the basement. The basement? Really? What is this, a horror movie?
Lukas ran to the basement and down the stairs. For a moment he was too
stunned to say or do anything. There was no way he was seeing what his eyes
were telling him he was seeing.
“Will you quit flailing? You're only making your own death slower.”
“Stop it! Please, why are you doing this? I-I thought we were friends.”
“Oh, we are. You're really nice to me, and I do appreciate it. But I know you
like my brother.”
“What? Is that what this is about? Emil I promise I'll back off just please,
fuck don't kill me!”
Somehow Emil and Arthur still hadn't noticed that Lukas was there. Lukas felt
that he should stop this...but his baby brother looked so cute all smiley and
covered in blood like that. How could he interrupt?
“No...it's too late. I can't risk it. He can't love you.”
  “What?”
  “He can only love me.”
“Emil, what in the devil are you talking about?”
“I'm sorry, Arthur.” (Emil finally remembered his name.) “I really did like
being friends with you.”
  “Don't!”
  “Goodbye.”
  “Emil!”
Lukas watched in awe while his brother killed his friend. He knew he
shouldn't enjoy it, but he did. The boy was such a natural, unphased by the
amount of blood getting all over him.
   It was hot.
“Wow, little brother. That was impressive.” Lukas made his presence known.
Emil made a startled squeaking sound and dropped the knife he was holding.
“B-Big brother. You weren't supposed to come back so soon.”
Lukas chuckled. “Did you do all this for me?”
  “Yeah. Y-You’re not mad?”
“Of course not.” Lukas stepped over Arthur's body to give his brother a hug.
“This is the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me.”
  “Really?”
Lukas nodded, titling Emil’s chin up to give him a kiss. “I'm very proud of
you, little brother.”
“Thanks.” Emil blushed. “I-It was nothing.”
“You're so cute.” Lukas commented fondly. “Come on, let's clean this all up.
I don't want my baby brother going to jail for murder.”
  “Thanks, Lukas.” Emil grinned.
  “Anything for you.” Lukas replied.
They were going to have fun coming up with stories for how everyone died. The
bodies were far too mangled to pass for suicide this time.
End Notes
This was SUPPOSED to just be a short, mildy-scary Halloween thing but
I got too invested in it so I accidentally made a back story to this.
     Keep scrolling if you're interested.
Lukas and Emil were both born mentally unstable, but it was a bit
more evident in Emil as he was growing up. Not wanting to deal with
another fucked up child, his parents more or less begged Lukas to
take him away from them. Lukas agreed to raise his little brother
(who in this story is a LOT younger than him, so sorry about that.
Creepy, I know.) and killed his parents shortly after. He never told
     Emil about that last part.
This here was the start of Emil developing severe abandonment issues.
Since he himself wasn't right in the head, Lukas never actually
noticed that Emil was insane too, and thought of him as his cute,
     fragile little brother.
Eventually Lukas fell in love with Emil, but Emil was growing up and
didn't depend on him so much anymore. He managed to become good
enough at reading social cues to act like a normal person, so he
     started making friends.
At first Lukas was proud, but over time Emil started spending more
time with his friends than him, which made him angry. Unable to stand
the thought of his brother growing away from him, Lukas started
killing all his friends so he'd be forced to spend all his time with
     him instead.
When Lukas told Emil that his friends were leaving him because they
didn't care about him, it became the tipping point that snapped what
little sanity Emil had been clinging to, and he lost his mind.
Lukas took advantage of this to essentially train him to be the
perfect brother. He would tell him things to make him feel worthless
and pathetic, then sleep with him and tell him he loved him so he
     felt happy again.
Eventually Emil fell hopelessly in love with his brother and
developed a crushing fear of ever upsetting him since he'd been
trained to believe that Lukas was the only person that cared about
him and that he was worthless without him.
It got to a point where Emil felt his only purpose in life was
pleasing his brother, and he thrived on knowing that Lukas loved him
and him only. When Lukas started making new friends he just went
completely off his rocker and killed them all so he wouldn't have to
     worry about competing for affection.
My mind is very dark place you guys.
